Treading Water

Well, I jumped in and haven't sunk like a stone.  The past week hasn't been floating down the lazy river. I've been keeping my head above water in a rushing river of information on writing in general and specifically, writing a successful blog . My hope is to make this blog worthy of  the reader's time investment, otherwise I might as well rant on the back of the junk mail to get things off my chest. At least that would recycle paper.

Professional advice differs on the frequency of posting. The most convincing argument I had read before beginning this blog was once a week.  That was good at the time since I wasn't sure about getting started, but was convinced I should surely be able to post once a week.  Since that time the consensus in what I have read seems to be posting about three times a week. One bit of advice in common, regardless of  the position on frequency, was post something worthy of reading.

There's no telling what you'll find here a funny, an encouraging word, a bit of timely information, a prayer, an opinion (I'll try not to shout from a soapbox), helpful hints or the thought where the roulette ball lands on the wheel of my spinning mind.

Thanks for reading followers, I'll do my best to give you something good.

  1. It's really 8:53pmEST, not 5:45PM as the post says. Somehow my computer is convinced I live in Utah. Haven't figured out how to inform the machine of my true location. That hasn't been high on my priority list since it only affects the time stamp on email and such.
