How Many Times Do I Have To Tell You?

A lot of life-filled time has passed since the last post. Will be blogging about these events in the future. For now I'll post about the latest.
I've just returned from Writers Advance! Boot Camp at The Cove near Asheville, NC. The writers attending were kept busy with back to back training sessions and dismissed with marching orders at the conclusion. A verse God has been putting in front of me for many weeks was used as part of our orders. I've found when HE is repeating Himself it's really important to listen.
The verse is, "This is my command--be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 (NLT)
This reminded me of a question I have heard posed by several speakers, "If you knew you couldn't fail what would you undertake?". Assured that God is with me everywhere, all the time, nothing He gives me to do should cause me to quake in my boots and run away.
I'm glad He knows I constantly need to hear this assurance, "I love you and I've got this covered.,   Parents often find themselves asking their children, "How many times do I have to tell you...?". Or at the end of their patience threatening, "I'm not going to tell you again". Thankfully, God doesn't lose His patience with us.  Father, thank you for repeating yourself as many times as it takes. Thank you for keeping me marching.

  1. It is nice to see you write with words of COURAGE. I know God has been giving you the strength. Thank you for reminding us of His word in Joshua. I am praying, Annette, that God won't have to remind me too many times and that I will make it a routine to listen when He speaks. I want it to become a habit by repetition... and by choice... to listen to Him the first time. So grateful that He never gives up on me. After all, He is patient with my weaknesses and strong in His belief in even me.
